About Us

Founded in 1983, our group began as a women’s self-help initiative under the guidance of Father Ndikaru wa Teresia. The initial focus was a feeding program dedicated to supporting St. Matia Mulumba Self Help Group. Over the time, this charitable endeavor evolved into a structured Self-Help Group that has experienced steady growth and diversification.
Today, the group is a thriving community-based organization offering a range of products and services to its members. With a current membership of over 2,000 individuals and a share capital of KES 100 million, we continue to uphold our founding values of service, inclusivity and empowerment.

Our membership is open to individuals of all backgrounds, ages and denominations; both Catholic and non-Catholic. We welcome minors, youth, adults and senior citizens, fostering a multigenerational and inclusive environment.
The group is managed by a dedicated team, including two permanent staff members who oversee office operations, supported periodically by interns and attachés. The Parish priest of St. Matia Mulumba Catholic church serves as the patron of the group, representing the Archdiocese of Nairobi in all official matters.
We remain committed to community development and spiritual growth, grounded in our strong foundation and inspired by our mission to uplift lives through collective effort.
